Going beyond the basics - that's what acclaimed Butcher, Chef and Food Network "Chopped" Champion Tanya Cauthen, owner of Belmont Butchery in Richmond, will do at this unique and extremely tasty food and wine pairing seminar focusing on the right wines to pair with both commonly-eaten and more unconventional, less-traditional cuts of a perfectly cooked pig.

What will you experience?

  • All-inclusive
  • You will learn where all the cuts come from - butt, chops, ham - but more importantly Tanya and her team will create and serve a menu from the less traditional cuts!
  • You'll learn about and taste the right kind of wines to pair with the cuts
  • You'll learn how to make these dishes at home
  • Menu items mayl include pork shanks, pork belly, pork trotter, pork offal, pig head and, of course, the pig tail!  [We are still finalizing the tasting menu.]
  • Co-seminar leader will be Tanya Cauthen, owner of Belmont Butchery in Richmond, VA.  We are still lining up the talent for the other co-seminar leader who will discuss the wines
  • You may arrive anytime after 4:15 pm
  • Street parking will be free on Saturday 
  • Not appropriate for vegetarians

All inclusive.  Price covers all food and wines.   21 and over only and no infants or strollers, except at the VIP Walk-Around Grand Tasting Locals Sunday Special.
