Rose wines have soared in popularity over the last several years. Taste why rose's newfound respect among both wine enthusiasts and novice drinkers is so well deserved. Please join Jason Tesauro, Chief Sommelier for Barboursville Vineyards, as he leads you on a curated tasting of top rose's from Virginia, Bordeaux + Loire Valley, France and Washington State.

  • An all-inclusive seminar, including rose wines and a small plate of cheeses and fruit
  • You may arrive anytime after 10:15 am
  • Street parking will be free on Sunday

Talent

  • Jason Tesauro - Chief Sommelier for Barboursville Vineyards, he’s the father of five children, author of three books and recipient of two national writing awards.  A current or past contributor to The New York Times, Esquire, Poetry, Travel+Leisure, Decanter, Tasting Panel, The Somm Journal, Men's Health, Maxim, Match.comand Men's Journal, he’s also penned lifestyle columns regionally for Washingtonian, The Sunday Paper (Atlanta), Richmond magazine and Virginia Living, earning national magazine awards in 2010 and 2012. Tesauro contributed to the bestselling 1,000 Places to See in the USA and Canada Before You Die(Workman Publishing, 2007), as well as Chiles T.A. Larson’s Barboursville Vineyards: Crafting Great Wines Inspired by Spirits of the Past (Zonin, 2008). Winner of Best Food Writing 2016 from DeCapo Press for his piece Bo Bech Discovers the Bounty of Virginia in Travel + Leisure.
