About Chef Chris Stough
After being born in Massachusetts and living in Bavaria, Chef Chris Stough settled in Virginia. He grew up in a multicultural household where food served as a primary avenue for connection. From a young age, he cooked occasionally, often smelling and watching his mother prepare meals, and was heavily influenced by Anthony Bourdain. At 20, he began working in the culinary industry, which provided the opportunity to collaborate with many talented cooks and chefs from around the world. His interest in wine began in his mid-twenties, significantly propelled by his first visit to Europe as an adult. He finds that pairing wine and food is a delightful way to accentuate and highlight flavors, textures, and aromas, showcasing the remarkable farmers and winemakers we are fortunate to have. Chef Stough believes that wonderful things happen when people take a moment to relax, break bread, and enjoy a sip together.
